Hi, SkyPilot. Have you checked out the Mount Rainier RC club yet? The field is about 30-35 min. from Lakewood. The owner of VVRC is a past-president of our club. Our club is a wild mix of gas, glow...

The single-bolt prop adaptor intended for the DLE50/55 fits the VVRC 40 twin, since the bolt pattern is the same. I've had one of these adaptors on my 40 twin since I started running it and it's been...

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

Come to think of it, I did install a Bowman ring in one of my DLE 35's that ran fine before, but I just HAD to try one after all I had heard about them. That 35 runs even better, now. Thanks, Frank.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

I haven't done the mod to any of my gassers yet, but I have a pair of DLE 20's that may need it. All the others (including the VVRC 20 and 40) run so well, I'm loathe to open them up, even just to...

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

How many "motor"cycles are actually electric? Why is Detroit the "Motor City"? General Motors? The distinction is blurred and always has been. Deal with it.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

The VVRC 20 is so close to the DLE 20 as to make no difference. On my KMP P-38, I cut holes in the firewalls for the carbs. This way, they sit far enough back to fit in the cowlings.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

The first shipment of the 40cc twin was less than 20 engines, and pre-orders gobbled-up every one. Another batch is expected in 2-3 weeks. If you REALLY want one soon, don't wait til they show up on...

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

I'm going down to VVRC's office tomorrow to get some parts. I'll ask about the twin and see if they are in yet.

O.K., guys, the twin is on ValleyView's website. Release is slated for late May. If you want to reserve one, give VVRC a call.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

Richard: I spoke to Tom at ValleyView today and he said they have never sold SV engines. He also said he has no idea who might have parts, though Walbro carbs are certainly easy to come by. Sorry to...

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

I've never heard of SV engines myself, but I'll talk to Tom at VVRC and see what he says. If it were me, I'd get a DL50 or DLE55 carb and install it. Either would probably work just fine. I flew with...

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

I haven't heard anything on the twin from VVRC yet. I'm still trying (unsuccessfully) to blow mine up, but it just keeps running. : ) As soon as I hear anything, I'll post it.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

Here's an update on the 40cc twin. Due to a parts supply problem at the factory, VVRC has yet to receive it's first batch of production engines. The factory promises that this delay will be brief,...

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

I too had one of those RV-8's with a DLE 30. Real floater. For ValleyView, try VV400RC for $40.00 off of $400.00 or more. The discount applies to the VVRC 40 twin, too. Here's my RV-8 next to my...

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

It's the same bolt-pattern as the DLE 20 and the OS 120AX. The VVRC and DLE engines share the same muffler pattern, as well.

RE: Valley View RC Brand Engines

As soon as the first batch of twins arrives at Valley View, I'll get a measurement of the total width, ready to run. When I do, I'll post it here. A lot of airframe sellers don't list cowling width...
