Took a few weeks since it was finished but the L39 flew over the weekend and went great.

CG seems nice at about 155mm, the Merlin 140 is just perfect for this model at 14.5kg.

Yes need to be 100psi, not happy with the main door rams so plan to change them to bigger ones.

Was not happy with the aileron rod position it is too far into the aileron and not on the hinge line so actually makes an arc up & down rather than just turn.

This L39 also was being fitted with a full lighting kit, It came from Globaljet but had no instructions or markings to say who made it, it was apparently for an JL L39 but came with two red anti...

Some other simple mods, stop screw to the main legs so they are not as straight when going into wheel well and prevent them catching on hinges, door frame etc.

Fitted a little magnet to the main...

My rudder mod pics might be of some use to others, I cut mine to the black lines but would probably go with the red lines if doing it again, I did'nt have a plan so was'nt sure exactly where the ribs...

A lot of guys seem to have changed the rudder setup and looking at it I will probably do the same on the one I am refitting.

Are the kits still coming from the factory the same way?
