RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

The 2300 has 25 pounds of thrust.
What type of horns are you using?
I'm using the aluminum Robart offset hinges, not sure if that makes a difference.
You can adjust the speed of the gear...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

I have the L-39 and never had an issue with the doors not closing. I'm using a SimJet 2300 without a bypass, standard Robart 1" cylinders and the UP valve. I pressurize the system to 120 psi, but...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi Richard,
You'll be fine with a 120.
Remember, it's an L-39, not an F-16. The real L-39 can not be looped from level flight, you have to dive it to build up speed. I read that for the same T/W...

<div style="margin: 0in 0in 0pt"><span style="font-size: 9pt">Hi,
I flew mine yesterday and it flew fine with a SimJet 2300. It weighs 32 pounds dry, so the 2300 is working pretty hard on takeoff....

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Has anyone else tried the cg at the location Jeff uses?
I'm getting ready to test fly mine before painting it and would like to use his cg location so I can remove some of the weight that I needed...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Jose,
I have the same problem.
I have 2 2800 Mah nicad's and a 11.1V ECU battery up front, plus two pounds of lead to balance it at 5.25".
If you use Hector's cg location, it's 5.75" back, 1/2"...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi Kevin,
Thanks for the info.
I tried an 8=32 bolt but it would only go in about half way.
Now that I know it's an 8-32, I'll get a tap and clean up the threads.
Thanks again.
Jon

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi,
Does anyone know what type of bolt is used for the wing hold down clamps?
It's not a standard american thread (surprise) and the closest I can find is 4 MM, but the thread pitch is too fine....

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi,
I need some advice on how to repair an aileron I damaged.
I set up the ailerons, the right one went fine, but on the left one, I kept getting lateral movement on the torque rod. I thought...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi everyone,
Since it's been a while since the wing failure there's been time to reflect on the various fixes, what are most people doing to re-enforce the spars, if anything.
Originally people...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi Chris,
Other than inserting an aluminun rod into the spar tube, what other modifications would you suggest.
Since I'm painting my model, opening up the wing isn't a problem, other than it's a...
