RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hector,
I really like the Tutor. I am still thinking about replacing my L 39 since I still have the landing gear and a bunch of other parts which survived my water landing. The Tutor looks really...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hector,
I used the Robart heavy duty low profile retracts as a replacement when I damaged the original gear. The only thing I had to do was re drill the holes to match the original gear. Robart...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

The weathering looks great. My flying buddy just weathered his Cougar and showed me how to do it. I will be weathering my AT 3 after the maiden.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

There is no problem with the current carbon fiber spars. You don't need to add the aluminum round stock. I have the same spar as you do and there are no signs of weakness . The original spar was made...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Looks good,
I just did the outside edge on mine.
But it does add a nice scale touch.
You should be ready for your maiden soon.
Good luck.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Check out the aluminum air intake edge. I used air conditioning aluminum duct tape. I just did the outside edge but with a little care you can wrap the inside edge as well. Looks better than the...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Yes , I really like the way the Boomerang Nano flies. I don't like small airplanes but the Nano looks like a lot of fun to fly.
I have been thinking of getting an 80 class jet but I don't have room...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

I think mine would take off grass just fine . I did some high speed taxi runs on a grass runway when I was testing the engine and the nose lifted off the grass at around 400 feet.
I was not ready...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

I fly off a paved runway 60 X 600 feet. The L 39 takes off in less than half the runway, less with flaps.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

The full scale L 39 has the linkage on top of the wing. If you look at some the scale photos you will see the ferrings on top of the wing which cover the linkage.
