Approx 3mm down elevator at 45deg of flap (from memory!)

The G1 had 2 x carbon tubes on the wing and receivers in the fuselage, whereas the G2 uses a single...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

They're the same as I used, Gary...
1.25" stroke - is slightly too long but I restricted the stroke with a small piece of tube over the shaft.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

I think I have some replacement steering units which include the pin...

What you need to remember is that the pin is soft deliberately - better a bent pin than the woodwork ripped out huh?

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Not on mine - the doors open fine but so the wheels don't retract with too much airspeed... It's a bugger!:D

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

I use a UP valve in mine too; I tend to hit the switch almost straight after take-off as the air pressure will stop them retracting as the speed builds up.

I fill to around 120 - 130 psi.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

You can remove them by simply unscrewing them from the mounts. They can be broken easily if you forget they are attached when you're working on the jet...just like me...DOH!

They are quite cheap...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

On the JL L39 the flap connection is indeed on top of the wing but JL supply a fairing to go over it. Nicholas's picture aptly demonstrates the linkage. There are some special flap hinges that hinge...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Try 6 1/4" from leading edge at root... Mine is set at that and it seems quite nice. Too rearward CG will cause it to flick out in a tight turn...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Mine has a Merlin 170...

It still sounds like a lack of flow to the gear/doors as the problem is fairly typical for UP valves where the sequence is screwed up due to wrong back pressure. The...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Jim,

You and I have the same set-up! Mine works okay at 120psi + and the needle on the valve opened up a lot more to increase the flow in the system. The problem seems to be the weight of the...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi,

Bolting is fine - remember if you damage the nose section and it is glued then it may be difficult to remove it for repair or replacement.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi,

It's 6 1/4 at the leading edge at the root. I have 3 Nimh packs up front to achieve the balance point and a tiny piece of lead on the end of the forward battery tray.
I couldn't believe...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?
