What engine housing threads are you referring to?...

What engine housing threads are you referring to? Are these the threaded holes in the engine crankcase to accept the cylinder bolts?

This might not work too well as the 40 uses 1/4x 32 plugs while the 20 uses a regular CM-6 plug, thus having a different size ignition plug cap.
