Jon,

I have mine at 6-1/4" back from LE and it's spot on.

Have a few ounces of lead right up front in the nose and the 4.8v lighting battery.

Flies with Wren XL200 turbine, 18/20mm...

The pilots are Blue Box Elite (F14 Tomcat), bought from ebay for around £20 each.

Front pilot has had major surgery below the knees to get him to fit in the tub, cool dude taking the back...

I've been following this thread from page 4, and bought my 39 after about page 18. Now some 18 months later and onto page 49 the bird has flown !

On a slightily different subject -balancing the model.

Mine is now complete and balances approx 160mm from the leading edge.
This ends up balancing just at the forward edge of...

Jeremy,

I have the same problem with one of the ailerons on my L39. The reason for the slop at neutral I am sure is due to the ali shaft/torque rod connecting the aileron being out of line...

Thanks for the reply re the main door hinges, I didn't realise the photo was from your F16 kit.

Using the large Robart 350 metal hinges, I find that the front pair of hinges clash...

Re post 424, is the photograph showing the hinges correctly layed out, ie front, back, left, right etc, as this seems to show

the offsets fixed to the fuz and the hinge part fixed...
