RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

I have my CG a bit further aft than most around 6.75" (170mm). It coincides with neutral elevator which must mean it's about right. You have also discovered that the nose gear pin is made of butter....

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

My linkage is under the wing. Works perfectly. Very rigid.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Just checked mine and it's fine. The elevator is not stiff (never has been) and all grub screws are hard against the square bar. Mine are biased slightly towards the rear of the bar so Dave is right...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

The tanks are effectively an interference fit. I have mine with velcro between them. The auxiliary tank that Mike refers to (on top) is also fitted with velcro. No problems at all with mine over 30+...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Guys,

My C of G is at 6.7". Seems just right to me and flys beautifully. Using around 20% - 30% expo on elevator and 15% on ailerons. It is naturally pretty stable in roll. I am experimenting...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Don,

Your doors probably work so well because you have the ram attached at a point well away from the hinge line giving good purchase. Could you tell me the size and stroke of those rams. I...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Jim,

I have a P160SX in mine. You hit the nail on the head when you say the rams act too close to the hinge line. There is insufficient force as a result. Until I find a solution I will operate...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Correct - the doors do not open and the gear closes against them. No amount of delay seems to work.

I am using a Jetronics setup.

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Guys,

There is nothing wrong with the gear - it is not too heavy. If I put my sequencer into mode 2 (doors open with gear down) it works faultlessly every time. The gear snaps up no problem even...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Andreas,

Do you have issues with the gear doors staying closed after take-off due to the large suction from the turbine? If so do you have a full bypass around the engine or maybe replaced the...

RE: What do you think about JETLEGEND L39?

Hi,

The elevator throw does not need to be reduced with the CG at 6.7". Just use some expo (I use around 20% but like a responsive feel - most would use a bit more - say 35%) to calm the...
