Looking forward to seeing one all painted up. Shame I can’t make it to FLjets this year sounds like there’s gonna be a lot of new stuff.
Will the 160 be overpowered without stores? That was what I was planning to use

the 160 should be the all around perfect performace engine with our without stores.

You can go smaller and be fine also. Peter Goldsmith won topgun 2 times with planes everyone else would call underpowered. You don’t need big power on a scale plane when you fly it in a scale like manner.

Throttle management is all that's needed.

Hey was not trying to start an argument. I have a K140 in my T1 and I very rarely use full throttle unless I am going vertical. If the Yak is something I end up with and I see how it flys for others I may swap a 120 into my T1 and use the 140 for the yak. If I get one I may put some stores on the bottom but don't think I will go full out "going to war" armament.

Chris, I will definitely be at FJ this year to take a look at what you guys have and see how it flys.

I will use the 160 mainly because that’s the only free turbine I have sitting around. I fly scale so never really go full power. Only time I like the extra power is if I mess up the landing I have the extra power to recover for a go around especially in a short runway

A quick update on the Yak-130. The factory has been flight testing and is starting on the first production models now. We should be receiving one for the build/manual soon. I will post new photos up here as well as some build photos.

Thank you

Are they going to change the gear doors? If you look at the full scale jet the doors look different or is this a different variant?

Hey there, It has the small door in front and the longer doors on each side. The doors can be split at the scale mark and 2 more door servos added.

The paint looks great and the details are awesome. Cant wait to see the rest.
