HI again
A couple more questions if you don’t mind ...
Did you reinforce the landing gear “saddle” in the fuse it did it look ok as built (I fly off grass only so it’s something I worry about)
I assume there are no incidence adjusters anywhere
Did you measure the incidences ?
Thanks again

The CA recommended top wing is + 0.5, bottom wing is 0.0 degree. They are set by the molded in fuse wing saddle and were perfect. I used the stab adjusters to set the stabs at the recommended 0.0 deg incidence. At these settings the molded n fuse nose down thrust was perfect at -1.5 deg. Recommended CG is set at 145mm behind the leading edge. I too fly off grass so the landing gear CF reinforcement is cheap insurance. All planes tend to need reinforcement of LG blocks when flying off of grass.
I would think the same would be better. Being different, they would be fighting against each other?

Maiden Flight
Battery at 145mm CG location
Stab adjuster blocks
Before maiden
My maiden flight was not too successful, but I got her down safely. I had some set up issues. First the CG was too far back set around 145mm from the lower wing front of the belly pan. I since moved it to around 130mm. Second the stab adjuster blocks screws stripped out and the plane was not stable in pitch. The plane also was not holding in rudder. My rudder servo had some gear slop. After two tests, I packed it up and came home.

Very successful second maiden
I'm a happy camper
135mm CG with battery pack at front of the battery tray
Front of battery tray with GForce batteries
Ground handeling and tracking good with Falcon Allure "longer contra" gear
I have replaced the stab adjusters with the F3A Unlimited Gator units. They have the same mounting screw locations. I've replaced the rudder servo with a JR DS8411HV unit. I've moved the battery to the front of the battery tray. I didn't need to but I installed JR DS3421 elevator servos. Wow what a difference. Only five clicks of aileron trim. With the new rudder servo, I used 2" spacing for the rudder cables. Max rudder deflection is still too high at approx. 27 degree. The Andes has a slight pull to canopy on down lines. A 3% down line mix fixed that. Stall turns are effortless. Snaps are clean, fast and come out on heading. So far no knife edge mix needed.

Congratulations on the maiden
A few questions
The original stab adjusters (red) look like they’re 3D printed? Is this correct? Are those the units that ship with the plane? If 3D printed that might explain the stripped threads.
What were you using for elevator servos before the 3421? Was the slop in pitch on your maiden due to the stab adjuster or servo?
The assembled plane looks beautiful...enjoy it in the best of health !

i’ve got now nine flights on the plane. Minor stab adjustments and 3% down line mix is good. Next I will check if I need to shim a wing side. Bottom wing looks parallel to the stab. Top wing is off slightly but only maybe a 1/4” at the tip.

Congrts on the maiden. Andes looks geat in that yellow scheme. Couple of questions, final weight and performance with Hacker C54.
Thanks.
Thanks.

2 possible solutions...
1. Trace the wings and send the templates to Revoc. They will make a set of bags for you (I e done this several times for planes that weren’t on their catalog list). All my planes have Revoc bags, very happy with them.
2. Contact Donatas Pauzoulis. https://www.pauzuolis-rc.com/
He has a person who made a very unique wing bag for the Mryia 2m biplane. A single bag with both wings side by side. Very well designed and made. Very unique design. The Andes wings might fitorvperhaps he can have the size changed.

Rob: Are both wings in the single bag, or did you get two bags? I've been emailing back and forth with ACE Wing Carrier for about a week to get bags for my Eternity. It has been tough trying to get a quote.

I have an Andes on the way. I would like to get the wing covers ordered prior to arrival but need the correct dimensions for the wings. I would really appreciate it if someone could supply me with dimensions needed to order the wings covers. I will be ordering from Ace Wing Covers.
Thanks for the Help!
